British savoury pasties and sausage rolls.

Mrs Miggins British Bakery is co-owned and operated by Megan Twisk and Julie Whittington, two Brits living in the States. Like many, they bemoaned the limited options for traditional British foods, especially savory pastries such as sausage rolls, pies, and pasties.

They founded Mrs Miggins British Bakery in January 2021, and opened their first stall at the San Ramon Farmers Market in June 2021. While they hoped to attract British and Irish immigrants, they’ve also discovered a larger crowd of American friends.

Their British recipes remain true to their origins by using quality meats and dairy and not oversweetening baked goods. Sausage rolls, the most popular menu item by far, are made from Berkshire or Duroc heritage pigs bred and raised at Mountain View Pork in Turlock.

Who is Mrs Miggins? A well-known character from the British comedy series Blackadder starring Rowan Atkinson (better known as Mr. Bean). Mrs Miggins is the bawdy owner of a London pie shop. British regulars know exactly who she is, and American friends are delighted when they find out.
